Henry Brooks Mouchemore (1856-1911)
Born in 1856, Henry Brooks Mouchemore married Mary Ann Maxted in 1878 and had 11 children, most of whom were born at Queenscliff Victoria.
According to the Register of Heritage Places, in 1895 Henry and his brother Peter travelled from Queenscliff to the town of Albany Western Australia in their fishing boats Wildwave and Wildflower. These boats boats were recreational racing boats and also became the models for fishing boats in Albany.
Henry and his family occupied a terrace house in Stirling Terrace, Albany from 1901 to 1905.The Mouchemores continued as fisher people based at Albany through into the twenty-first century.
Henry Brooks Mouchemore died in 1911.
