George Fordham Mouchemore

George Fordham Mouchemore was born in Queenscliff Victoria in 1887.

According to the Australian Military Records, he was a sign writer when he enlisted in the AIF in 1915. He served overseas for two years as a driver and musician with the rank of Corporal, and returned to Australia in 1919. In the above photograph, George is second from the left on the top row.

George married twice, once before the war in 1915 to Frances King, and again after the war in 1920 to Elsie Jane Elisabeth Coombes.
